Once in the platform we advise users to upload a photo, add in their personal details and select their interest categories. The more information you provide the more the system can customise your experience. During the first login you will have the option to set your privacy settings.

I need to add or remove my photo on my profile

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Click 'edit profile' at the bottom of the menu. Then click on the attach file icon where it says photo. Choose a file to upload or take a photo using your webcam. Once you have added a photo you can only replace it but not remove it. If you wish to remove a photo please contact BSH Support.

I'm not seeing many recommendations

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Select ‘Edit profile’ from the menu on the left side. You can then choose your topics of interest from the ‘Interest categories’ drop down menu.

I have an interest that is not part of the categories list

We cannot add any more categories. We have used the selected categories to cover all topics of interest

I'm not attracting much interest

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'Edit profile' from the top right of the platform. Ensure you have completed your 'About Me' section on your profile

I want to stop receiving notifications of appointment/messages

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Under matchmaking settings you can turn on/off notifications

I want to change my password

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Then select 'Edit profile' from the menu on the left side, and under 'change credentials' you can change your password. If you have forgotten your password please use the information above.

I wish to remove all data you hold on me

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Then select 'Edit profile' from the menu on the left side and click on 'Your Data'. Choose to export data or remove account globally.

How do I preview my own profile?

Once signed into the platform, edit your profile by selecting 'My profile' from the top right of the platform. Then select 'Edit profile' from the menu on the left side, click on 'Preview profile'.

Accessing a session

When a session is live, visit the sessions tab and you will have the option to join the session, this will take you through to the live stream.

Alternatively, if you have added a session to your schedule the Join Now button will appear here, click here to join the session.

Booking for a Meet the Expert session

The Meet the Expert sessions are available to book 24 hours in advance of them appearing in the schedule. Please click the +myschedule to add this to your schedule, securing your seat for the session.

What if I cannot watch the live sessions?

All live sessions will be recorded and available for you to view on demand, up to April 2022.

How long will content be available?

All BSH 2021 Virtual ASM content, including the recorded live sessions, will be available on demand until April 2022, giving you the opportunity to engage with content at your leisure.

Will the virtual event be CME accredited?

The BSH 2021 Virtual ASM has been accredited through the Royal College of Pathologists.

Attendees will be awarded with a maximum of 28 CPD credits, dependent on the total hours of live sessions they attend.

Certificates of attendance will be sent to delegates who login and attend the live programme events and scheduled sessions from the 25- 28 April. Certificates for those who watched any live sessions will be awarded at 1 credit per hour watched. The certificates will be sent by the end of May to all those who complete the post event survey.

Any presentations viewed following the live event can be self-accredited via your CPD portfolio; this would include watching any sessions after they have aired live on the platform. On-demand content can be self-accredited with up to 22 CPD credits. A total of up to 50 CPD points can be accredited for live and on-demand content, depending on the time of interaction.

For self-accreditation, evidence should be uploaded to the online CPD portfolio or retained. Please refer to the RCPath guidelines here.

Pitfalls Meeting CPD

Those who attend the Pitfalls meeting will be able to claim a further 3 CPD credits. Certificates will be issued to those who attend the live sessions on the 24 April 2021.

Speaker access

Thank you to all our speakers who have contributed to the 2021 Virtual programme. As a speaker you would have received login information to access the sessions. How do I contact a poster author?

Visit the E- Posters – contact the author or start a forum discussion around the posters.

If you would like to start a debate around the poster or ask a question publicly to the author you can do so by using the “forum”, make sure to register so you can receive a notification when the Author answers your question. Remember that all the comments or questions you write in the forum will be available to all the attendees, if you want to engage in a private conversation with the author make sure to use "Contact author"
